If you’re still waiting for housing prices to fall, you’ll have to be patient. According to the Canadian Real Estate Association, 2009 was the fourth busiest year in Canadian real estate history. Last year, 465,251 houses were sold on MLS, up 7.7% over last year.

December was an especially good month for real estate — 27,744 units were sold, an increase of 72% from the same time in 2008. Despite all the action, sales were still 10.7% lower than 2007.
