This year, MoneySense took a new approach to tackle the lowest ranking cities our list. We’ve narrowed our gaze to focus on the worst performers in each of the most important categories in addition to listing the lowest overall scoring cities.

The goal here is not to chastise these cities and the no-doubt spirited people who live there but to highlight areas where city officials and residents can work together for positive change. Of course there’s not much anyone can do about the weather but there’s a lot we can do to make our cities more safe, accessible and fun.

I am thinking of moving to London Ont, the rents or homes are 30% less than Brampton,
Brampton has become the pitts, too many rowdys, and no good jobs anymore.

Haifax is a pretty cool place to live – close to everything, just "the right size" city, close to our neighbors (but not too close!!), short drive to PEI. gotta like it

fredericton new brunswick should be top of the list of worst places in canada….if you're a government worker you'll fit in fine….never seen so much ignorance, i seriously think something is in the water ..or lack of education!

I don't agree with all the above comments. Brampton is the Flower City and always was. I live for 6 years and I will never move away form. Nice and clean every where are flowers and lots of parks and nature area. no mention about the nice diversity where all culture are melted in one nice smoth community. the mayor is a nice lady that has a wide openion for the development of the downtonw and the historical areas.

    I LOVE YOU BRAMPTON

I noticed that there are no towns from the Canadian territories in this list ( The Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut). Only towns and cities from the provinces were listed. Why?
I would bet that Iqaluit in Nunavut has the coldest, severest weather…
So why are Canada's territories excluded?

Brampton slipping from 147 spot ranking
I bet I know why, flower city eh? More like garbage city. We are a diverse community and with that comes a diverse understanding of "RESPECT" for your neighbors and neighborhood.
Garbage thrown & discarted everywhere. Garbage pilling up at public garbage bins from elegal apartment dwellers. Shopping carts at malls left at random spotsexcept the return cart area. Driving entitlement, turning without signalling, cutting you off at the last second. The me first generation, expecting everyone else to have ESP driving skills. Forget about opening or keeping doors open at malls for others, as they charge through. What happened to "love thy neighbor" or "RESPECT"?
