Kingston edges up one spot on this year’s list, and for the most part, it stays consistent across the individual categories. Like last year, the city is strongest when it comes to medical access and the ability of its workforce to take a car-less commute. Kingston is considered one of Ontario’s more picturesque cities, and it’s also home to Queen’s University. The one drawback is affordable housing, though compared to our top two cities—and other cities across British Columbia and Ontario—it’s a relative bargain.
