  1. The site looks good. A bit “digg” looking, but clean and easy to scan and skim. Like the use of your main categories/sub categories in the nav. The search seemed to get me what I was looking for, but the search results page could use some tweaking. On my screen there was a big open space in on the right half of the page. Could have results across the page, or some “related” content in the sidebar, or some sort of “similar search terms” or something along those lines. Your columnists are awesome and editor’s picks are useful, so I’d suggest moving them up the homepage, perhaps above the Advertisement, beside the “must read”. As a reader, I’d consider those 2 sections must reads.

    • Thanks! We’ll consider your suggestions regarding the search results page and Editor’s Picks etc. Best of luck!

  2. I like the site. It is easy to review and quite appealing to the eye. I have a big blank space below the article before leaving a comment, not sure why you need to scroll down to leave the comment.

  5. I like the sight, sometimes though the pop ups bother me (not sure if others have this issue). I do find it easy to read and navigate, and love the portability this allows me with my tablet!

    • Do not love autocorrect though, ….site!

  6. The new look features lots of white space and is not as cramped as the old. That being said, there’s a lot of white space – maybe too much? Possibly.

  7. The website looks nice and bright and flashy. Easy to scan, easy to find categories and sub-categories. Enjoy reading the columns, good ideas, could use less adverts but all in all a good job.

  8. I like the site. I was looking for an iPhone version though. so that I could read the Newstand digital version. Is it only available for iPad?

    • Yes have an iPad special addition as well as Android replica apps. We’re working on an iPhone app but in the meantime you can read most of the magazine online on your mobile. Thanks for reading!

  12. I personally don’t like the new look, its hard to navigate for the newest articles being posted each day. It is much better though for viewing on a smart phone, but then I don’t read much of anything on my phone.

  13. The like the new look. It’s easy to scan and filter on info. I am always here reading about personal investment advices.

  15. The site looks awesome! The font is large and easy to read, don’t have to squint at my small screen. The categories are clear and fairly organized so it’s easy to find topics I want to read. Also like the search function at the top right of the page.

  18. Clean definitely describes the site well. Easy fonts with good contrast helps viewers find and read more easily. As already mentioned ads are a little frustrating when they pop up in your face put are a part of any site. A lot less ‘noise’ going on so its a much more appealing design.

  20. The black pull down menus (at top of page) linger after selection / passing over, and do not recede once the cursor is placed on article. Please improve the GUI.

I have only been able to access archived articles / magazine issues by stumbling upon them accidentally. I would encourage the idea of making them more intuitively accessible from the home page with an ‘archives’ icon. The literature represents value already generated. Use this to enrich your customer base!

I am not pleased with the anticipated cost of online content. I understand that Moneysense wishes to pursue new streams of revenue. Over time, I guess Moneysense will determine if improved net benefit lies in paid subscriptions vs increased advertisement exposure for free content.

    Good luck!

  23. I appreciate the simple layout, it does lead oneself to start scrolling down the page and read more content (usually the goal). Also doesn’t have any sponsored content (near as I can tell) which is a necessary evil for some companies, but one that is pretty annoying to the casual reader. Maybe have the columnists a little more prominently displayed?

  24. I have read several articles using a colleague’s tablet and I must admit that the whole view and layout is spectacular. It is so much easier and user friendly to surf through the sites. But my favourite is the whole easy layout of the articles. Great job and keep up the great work.

  25. Well it does look nice and organized but theres still a couple of problems with the site. First off your main menu covers the headings of the first row of article boxes. Maybe on different devices you can see them but with my 1080p resolution its blocked by the menu. Same thing is happening with your facebook, twitter, feed buttons and search bar at the bottom of the page. Next i can’t edit my profile, it gives me a 404 error. So you have a bad link there. Otherwise i do like the layout..

  33. New site is super simple and easy to navigate in mobile where I do most of my browsing. I like the simple design nothing too flashy that takes away from the content of the articles or have to scroll forever to skip over images.
However the ‘giveaway enter to win’ section itself doesn’t line up correctly on mobile I’m not able to see half that page. Everything else looks good.

  45. I like the bar at the top that allows me to choose my topic of interest. Otherwise the design looks blah on a PC screen; it looks like it is tailored for small screen users. When I used Firefox the advertisement got stuck in the middle of the screen and wouldn’t move so I had to move to another browser.
The information is great but I’m not a fan of the design.

  47. I love the new responsive design and the fact that I can easily browse the site on my mobile without layout and content breaking. One thing I have an issue with is that the ads detract from the overall minimal, clean design. They clutter up the page!
