Tips on how to pay your bills during a postal strike
The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada has some great tips for Canadians to stay on top of their bills even if Canada Post goes on strike.
Unfortunately, those who still receive bills through the post will have to get organized, get contact information and get a calendar.
Look at previous bills to get an idea of which dates your bills are owed, write this date on your calendar, and then call or go into the agency to find out how much you owe.
Instead of mailing a cheque, you can pay for many services through the telephone, ATM, physical bank or online.
Remember to always ask if there are any charges for paying through a different method. More likely though, you’ll be saving on stamp money.
