  • Canada’s unemployment rate improved slightly in June to 7.2% but students on the job hunt had nothing in particular to cheer about. The jobless rate for  students aged 20-24 was 13.0% in June, up from 11.0% a year earlier. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for students aged 17-19 rose 3.5 percentage points to 17.3%.
