  • RBC and the Pembina Institute polled Toronto-area residents and the  overwhelming majority (81%) said they would give up a large home or yard for a compact space with easy access to transit and amenities—if money wasn’t an issue. In contrast, 59% of families with two or more kids strongly preferred large detached homes in car-dependent neighbourhoods with lower housing costs.
