  • Vancouver has been named the second worst city in North America for traffic congestion, behind Los Angeles. The problem, experts from TomTom say, is a lack of highways access to the city. Meanwhile, residents in Toronto are also feeling the bumper blues. The city ranked 9th overall.
  • Canadians spent 4.7% more using debit and credit cards in the 2nd quarter compared to the same period last year, payment processor Moneris Solutions said Wednesday, though spending did start to taper off toward the end of June. Entertainment saw the biggest increase in overall spending at 9.4%. Hotels and restaurants came in second driven largely by an increase in hungry consumer paying for fast food with plastic.
  • There’s nothing better than an icy coffee drink to cool off and re-energize at the height of summer. Before you pull out your wallet for a fancy Frappuccino read this post from Squawkfox first. She replicated the drink in her home kitchen for just $0.32 and will show you how for free! Can’t beat that.

  1. Vancouver has been named the second worst city in North America for traffic congestion? behind Los Angeles?. …those guys are dreamimg!! Doesn't even come close. Where do they get this crap data.Try maybe New York City, Chicago or any larger city like Toronto which takes almost 2 hours to get across on a good day…wake up. Its because they dont have a highway running through it , that its the most livable city in the world and not a ghetto like these other cities.
