- Just over 40% of Baby Boomers have no intention of downsizing their home in retirement, a new poll for Royal LePage Real Estate has found. Some even plan to buy a bigger home. “Baby Boomers are the wealthiest generation in Canadian history. They live in large homes with ample space for their many possessions. They love their garages and their yards,” Phil Soper, CEO of Royal LePage Real Estate, said in a release.
