Updated Feb. 8, 2017 with a statement from a Loblaw spokesperson via The Canadian Press—

Are you a Loblaws PC points member? You might want to double-check your point balance, according to reports from CityNews. Apparently, several people were scammed out of hundreds of points after passwords used for their accounts were compromised. Loblaw is warning PC Plus rewards collectors to beef up their passwords.”We are treating this as a breach as individual member accounts were accessed and points were stolen,” said Kevin Groh, the company’s vice-president of corporate affairs and communication, in a statement.   1. After running a scan, you ll see an alarming count of the number of problems on your computer. It found 26267 issues on our computer. That s an extremely alarming number but what exactly is an issue?

    • Hello, you can check your computer with any malware software to be sure. For example with Malwarebytes.

  2. This happened to me too. The story doesn’t actually tell how though. The hackers gained access to our accounts and then added new supplemental cards. Those new cards were then used to redeem points. So everyone should be checking to see what other cards are linked to the primary account, then delete any you don’t recognize…

  3. I got the email and immediately wondered ..Is this genuine? And why now? When I asked I got a lengthy gobbledoo IT type response istead of Yes we sent it. Hmmm

  5. they reset everyone’s password-as a result of that reset password;i lost about $40 in points which they just dance around and dont seem able to resolve. Very disappointed in this company and process
