The perfect price to pay for a haircut
Experienced hairdressers typically charge more, as they should but at some point you should draw the line on price.
“Most men who walk in and pay $30 plus tip are very happy with what they get,” says Calgary’s Henna Singh, who blogs at CanadianBeauty.com. For women, if you pay more than $50, “you’re definitely paying for the pampering and not the quality of the stylist.”
Women
High: $100
Low: $15
Perfect Price:$50
Men
High: $100
Low: $15
Perfect Price: $30

$50?????? I got a haircut yesterday for $20 tip included. It's a straight, basic cut. It takes less than 30 minutes. At $50 cuts for 30 minutes, these "lower end" stylists make $100/hour?????????? Boy, am I in the wrong profession.
$30 is rediculous..but I can't get a decent cut at first choice…and can't find a place less than$18…honestly believe that $15 is enough including tip…men's cut = 20 min.
I used to be very happy with the $7 cuts I got down on Spadina…. this year I finally broke down and bought a good hair trimmer (Wahl, from the barber supply store on Dundas at Bay). I keep my hair short, so I just cut my own! Pretty satisfied with the results so far.
Since when do MEN pay 30$ a haircut? This article is just PURPOSELY driving up the price of haircuts.
$30? I refuse to pay more than $10! If you're in TO walk down to Dundas & Spadina to get an awesome $7 cut at People Hair Cut (probably their first online endorsement ever).
