The federal government plans to gradually raise the Old Age Security program eligibility age from 65 to 67 starting in 2023. Today, the program provides a maximum of $15,270 annually to single seniors. Anyone born after 1958 will be affected.

  1. Many people in their 60's now do not wish to retire, as we are living longer, healthier, and more energetically. I would say that the general impact would not be terribly negative, but in line with the progression of our life trends.
