Franklin Templeton Investments sent me this nifty graphic of how various asset classes have performed over the last 20 years. Click below to see the list — it’s too big of a file size for me to put right into this page.
The first thing you’ll notice is that no one asset class has done really well or extremely poorly. Everything is all over the place. The point they’re making is diversifying is key, and after seeing this chart, it’s hard to argue otherwise. It’s pretty cool and I may try to dig deeper into it soon.
