The right price to pay for a one-hour massage depends on where you live and the extras provided, says Andrew Lewarne, CEO of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario. Pay more than $100 with a registered massage therapist and you’re paying for the frills—scented oils, bamboo rolls and complimentary tea. Pay less than $60 an hour and the therapist may not have accredited training. (Look for the RMT beside the name.) At $80 an hour, you’ll get a top-notch experience. And since RMTs are medical professionals, no tip is required.
