September housing market sales inched up 3% over August, according to data from the Canadian Real Estate Association.
And while this year’s results are 19.8% lower than September 2009’s blistering activity—which set a record for transactions in that month—they were the best sales numbers the organization has posted since May of this year.
The national average resale price of $331,089 is “stabilizing”, said the organization. It is 1.8% higher than August.
Prices peaked in May at $346,881.
