Canadians let their savings slide during summer, says poll
Canadians are more lax about sticking to a budget during summer, says a TD Canada Trust Summer Spending Survey released this week.
Most have spent money on eating and drinking out with friends or vacationing.
A full 50% of those polled said they let their bill payments slip, 38% said they ditched their strict budget and 37% said they relaxed their saving habits.
Sixty-four per cent of those surveyed said they would make up the money in the winter when there are fewer fun things happening.
