Among the criticisms leveled at Ottawa-Gatineau is that the city doesn’t have a great nightlife and is crawling with bureaucrats. It isn't nestled near scenic mountains nor does it bask along the sunny shores of the Great Lakes. And the hockey team? Best not to ask. However, for the fourth time in six years, our nation’s capital is once again rated the "Best Place to Live" in Canada by MoneySense magazine. While Ottawa-Gatineau isn't tops in any one particular category, it consistently rates high in most categories, beating out picturesque Victoria, BC, by just one point. Here’s why Ottawa-Gatineau is ranked Canada’s best place to live.
